Training Services

Customized training and technical assistance can be developed based on the unique needs and characteristics of your organization. Examples of Genesis 21's training include;

State Wide LEP customized training and technical assistance commissioned by the Texas Workforce Commission, which informed key processes such as developing policies to ensure compliance with legal requirements, assessing current access to information and services and enhancing front line customer workforce development service and communication. Nearly 1700 workforce professionals and educators have been attending the LEP Training which was developed and delivered by Genesis 21.

Small Business Management sponsored through the Small Business Development Center of El Paso Community College. Genesis 21 has five years of experience of providing instruction  in strategic planning, marketing, finance, administration and human resources. The Small Business Management Institute (SBMI) is one of the Center's most popular programs and nearly 500 small business owners have participated in the Institute.

Financial Tools for the Trades sponsored through the El Paso Electricians JATC and El Paso Community College through a grant from the Texas Workforce Commission. This training is designed to specifically address the unique challenges of building  financial foundations for individuals entering the construction trades. 

Customized training courses including Effectively Communicating through Email, Achieving Excellence in the Workplace, Team Building and Strengthening Supervisory Skills, and have been delivered to organizations such as Coastal Bend College, Workforce Solutions Cameron and Mesa Hills Specialty Hospital. Close to 200 individuals from participating institutions have received training specific to the needs of their organizations.

Artist Business Training which was commissioned by the City of El Paso and included key topics such as Pricing, Building an Audience and Following, Protecting Intellectual Property, Taxes and Financial Reporting Requirements and Developing a Website.

Grant Writing Workshops sponsored by the City of El Paso and targeted to key City management and personnel. topics covered in the training include; Identifying and Assessing Grant Opportunities, Developing Proposals Responsive to the Needs of Funders, Preparing Detailed Budgets and Logic Modeling.
